Quick Question:

During firmware update, VVDI Multi Prog showed "Jump Recovery error: Error code: 41330004", tried different PC and wifi but not working, how to fix it? The firmware is V1.1.0 now.

Also tried to sync device, but it won't read device info.

1)Press and hold reset button

2)Supply 12v power to Multi Prog

3)Continue to hold reset button for 5 seconds and release

4)Device will switch into Force Update mode

One customer asked if he needed to plug 15v adapter in order to power on VVDI Multi Prog. It starts when I plug the 12v adapter, but I don't see it in device manager, and I cannot use it..

Here is the answer:

For Multi Prog, power adapter and USB cable are separate.

Insert both cables before installing Multi Prog software.

One customer gave feedback about Xhorse MQB Adapter:

VVDI PROG with MQB48 Adapter won't read the cluster, software always gives "Try Frequency failed (00)" error whether in normal options or test function 15.

But MCU cable in package worked well, only adapter got a problem.

Here is the Solution:

Remove cluster, only connect MQB adapter, read data, and test voltage of pin FLMD0

If voltage is 3.3V, device works well, connect cluster, check connection, and read data again

If voltage is not 3.3V, VVDI PROG is damaged, send back to dealers for repair

Our customer raises another approach:

Supply 3.3v to FMLDO on adapter.

All good read and write, no problem.

Yes, simply remove installed adapter and put in VH24/ VH29 adapter.

Remove protective shell.

Remove screws and adapter. (when you receive Multi-Prog package, VH13 adapter is installed)

Install VH24/ VH29 Adapter.

Tighten adapter by screws.

Restore protective shell.

Question:

Can't update Xhorse Key Tool Max Pro firmware but sync device successfully. It said "CLTP1: Internet request failed, please try later". Tried different wifi but not working. I'm from Bulgaria.

How Multi Prog Read Write AT17C128(DIP with Adapters?

In this article, we are going to show you how to read write AT17C128(DIP using Xhorse Multi Prog.

Process:

Run Multi Prog software.

Select Serial EEPROM&FLASH.

Search AT17C128(DIP .

Check info before Read Write.

VH13 adapter is required.

Install VH13 adapter.

Put chip on adapter and align pins.

Tight chip.

Read EEPROM and we can modify data.

Write EEPROM.

One customer asked why he cannot update Dolphin XP005L firmware since January. He tried many times to update V3.2.2 firmware successfully but it continued to require update.

Here is the Solution:

Switch to developer mode and update firmware, and then switch back to user mode and update again.

How to switch to developer mode?

*Without the guidance of technical engineers, you can't switch this mode privately, otherwise you need to bear the consequences

In this article, we are going to show you how to copy House Key using Xhorse Dolphin XP005L.

Dolphin XP005L Package only has M5 Mount.

Go get an M4 Clamp and install it.

Put original key on the clamp.

Turn on Dolphin XP005L.

Select

Universal Duplication>>Standard Single Side>>Shoulder Align>>M4 Clamp

Decode key.

Now put a new blade on the clamp.

Cut new key.

New key and original key.

Done! Simple and nice!

I have Xhorse Key Tool Plus, it doesn’t read locks on the IR, it writes errors all the time, locks with iron fish work, but there are no plastic ones, or do I just need to do everything in the bench now?

W221 is on bench only

Some W211,W209,W203 and other older models can have the password read through IR, not all of them.

I have that mk7 golf board from 2018 and the equipment read well but the board never turned on again.

Used VVDI Key Tool Plus, I read and took out Inmo data, then desoldered and only that.

Here is the Solution:

1)Send cluster and IMMO data file to Xhorse tech for analysis

2)Repair data file using Key Tool Plus Pad

Path: Immo programming>>VW>>Select by type>>MQB instrument Immo system>>Instrument-MQB(VDO/JCI-NEC35xx lock)

3)Write repaired data file back to cluster to recover it

Done! That's how to repair dead cluster.
